Position Title: Regional Recruiter
Position Responsibilities
Responsible for developing proactive and creative sourcing strategies to generate a robust pipeline of diverse talent, including active and passive candidate sourcing for our Richmond, VA, Virginia Beach, VA and Shenandoah Valley, VA branch regions. The Regional Recruiter will partner with Operations in the full-cycle recruitment process to identify, attract, and recruit top talent for all open positions. Duties include, but not limited to:
- Researching, identifying, and implementing innovative and cost-effective recruitment and staffing strategies. Creating and maintaining a staffing plan to meet current and future company goals;
- Sourcing candidates using internet job postings, networking, cold calls, career open houses, and job fairs. Plan and conduct innovative recruitment campaigns to select qualified applicants;
- Developing effective working relationships with recruitment agencies, technical schools, government agencies, and other sources;
- Identify, register for and participate in recruiting events;
- Working closely with the Operations Department to evaluate staffing needs and determine recruitment plan/strategy for open positions. Maintain constant communication with HR & Operations teams to stay apprised of operational objectives and branch needs;
- Pre-screen candidates and actively participate in the interview and selection process;
- Conducting interviews to evaluate employment factors of applicants i.e. years of experience, education, training skills, industry knowledge, abilities, etc.;
- Effectively communicating employment information to candidates including job duties, responsibilities, company expectations, compensation package, benefits, company profile, and other pertinent information;
- Utilize information gathered from interviews and references to make and support hiring recommendations that align with the overall objectives of the Operations Department;
- Ensure completion of administrative tasks in the recruitment process including interview coordination, background checks, security screenings, and completion of the pre-hire steps. Collaborate with HR team to ensure a smooth employee experience, to include the transition from pre-hire to onboarding. Conduct new hire orientation;
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Minimum of four (4) years full life cycle recruiting preferably in the staffing industry. Strong networking and interpersonal skills; demonstrated success in building and maintaining effective internal and external relationships;
- Position requires 40-50% travel in and around the branch locations of Richmond, VA, Virginia Beach, VA and Shenandoah Valley, VA;
- A passion for screening and selecting top talent that best fit the position requirements and overall team dynamics;
- Experience in the construction or telecommunication industry desirable;
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize job responsibilities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment;
- A solid understanding of compensation and benefits;
- Extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure, including federal and state laws pertaining to employment practices;
- Professional, team-oriented work ethic;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision with excellent problem-solving skills;
- Proficiency in MS Office, HRIS System, and internet recruiting services required;
- Four-year degree in related field required.
