Assistant Professor - Chemistry and Microbiology
Description: Nebraska Methodist College (NMC) is seeking an experienced full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor to teach chemistry and microbiology within the Arts & Sciences Division starting for the Fall 2022 semester. These two courses for this position support undergraduate general education health science student education. Teaching other courses in the natural and applied science/math division follow with appropriate faculty credentials and experience. It is a 24-credit hour, 12-month position.
NMC is a primarily a bachelor and associate degree granting health-science institution that maximizes active engagement in student learning using technology. Nursing and allied health profession programs run year-round, and a faculty teaching appointment is commensurate with this schedule.
Qualifications: A Ph.D. in chemistry, and/or microbiology or closely related field is desired. Master of Science prepared candidates with teaching and lab experience for one or both courses are encouraged to apply.
Preferably, applicants for this position will possess teaching experience in chemistry and microbiology subjects along with requisite skill teaching labs to support them.
