Customer Service Representative / Delivery Driver
Hourly $16.00 - $17.00 DOE
The Customer Service Representative / Delivery Driver is responsible for providing excellent customer service when performing customer pick-ups. Properly documents incoming textile and electronic restoration items, delivers complete orders, and accurately records all necessary information on work orders and into the computer system to meet all customer requirements and service standards.
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities
- Travels to and interacts with homeowners in a friendly and professional manner.
- Picks-up textile and electronic items for restoration, correctly following all procedures and guidelines. Accurately labels bags and boxes, returns them as directed for processing.
Specific Job Requirements
- Inventories, sorts and bags items and correctly prepares all paperwork relative to the pickup.
- Properly identifies and evaluates what items should be returned for restoration.
- Ensures compliance to all program job requirements and time stamps, as appropriate.
- Works effectively with other service providers, adjusters and insurance representatives at the job site.
- Delivers all completed orders to the proper room and re-hangs window treatments when possible. Gets satisfaction slip signed and immediately informs manager of shortages or other customer concerns.
- Schedules both rush and regular orders.
- Communicates with manager regularly throughout the workday; keeping them apprised of pickups and customer issues, as applicable and informs manager when follow-up is needed with an adjustor or contractor.
- Keeps exterior and interior of company vehicles clean and orderly and lets management know of any mechanical needs or shortages of equipment or tools.
- Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
- Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
- Displays excellent communication skills required in working with customers including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
- Respectfully takes direction from manager.
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- This position requires a valid insurable Class C Driver’s License.
- Has basic computer skills including logging on to systems, ability to communicate by email, compose documents, enter database information, create presentations, download forms, and preserve/backup important data.
