Energy Efficiency Programs Product Manager
What is the role?
Michaels Energy is seeking an energy efficiency professional with experience managing utility efficiency programs. The Programs Product Manager oversees all aspects of program delivery for their assigned clients including setting vision, strategy, budgets, goals, timelines, processes, and marketing strategy. This position must coordinate the talent and resources of multiple departments to ensure program delivery goals are met. We are looking for someone with strong organizational, planning and communication skills and a passion for energy efficiency who will thrive in a team environment and will exemplify our core values.
- Program and Portfolio Management
- Collaborates with engineering to set scope, budget, and processes for assigned programs.
- Monitors budget and timelines at the portfolio level
- Determines the level of resources needed and works with engineering to secure those resources.
- Responsible for final QA/QC of deliverables
Client Satisfaction

- Acts as clients' main point of contact for projects
- Responsible for client satisfaction and achievement of project objectives
- Expands client share
- Responsible for escalating issues to the leadership team
- Implements process changes to maximize value
- Track and report on key metrics for the assigned programs
Strategy

- Set and communicate the program and marketing strategy, roadmap, and deliverables
- Collaborates with the business development team to execute strategy
After 3 months, you will have.
- Learned Michaels internal processes and business practices
- Been introduced to key client contacts
- A thorough understanding of assigned efficiency program
After 6 months, you will have.
- Led meetings with clients
- Developed a resource planning method
- Established external and internal program goals
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of two years of project management experience, preferably in the energy efficiency industry
- Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to work independently
- Must be detail-oriented, analytical, and highly motivated
- Excellent communication skills
- Software skills: MS Office, especially Excel
Travel
- Up to 25% for client meetings and to other Michaels locations

- Michaels Office locations: La Crosse, WI, Minneapolis, MN, Denver, CO, Cedar Rapids, IA, Chicago, IL or remote
