Working as a member of the Communications and Marketing Office, the Marketing Project Manager will lead the management of project planning, deadlines, logistics, coordination, and communication. This is perhaps one of the most important roles in the office; without excellent project management, our exciting creative work would not reach its intended audience. Therefore, the Marketing Project Manager will have exceptional attention to detail and commitment to excellence, as well as an appreciation for his/her critical role in timely project completion. Projects will be of both a short and long-term nature, which will require superior planning skills and the ability to manage a variety of deadlines at once.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate internal and external resources for the flawless execution of projects;
- Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress;
- Receive and review project request forms, develop accompanying project plan under the leadership for the Creative Director, and proactively communicate with internal and external constituents on the status of each project, updating as critical steps are completed;
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget;
- Manage the inception and delivery of Communications and Marketing's portfolio of projects, respective budgets and resource allocations;
- Work closely with printers and other off-campus vendors to support project development;
- Measure project progress using appropriate systems, tools and techniques;
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation;
- Provide project support to Directors across the department, ensuring they receive project needs in a timely and comprehensive manner;
- Own and manage the contract process with third-party vendors and agencies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 2+ years of experience in a project management role preferred
- Solid background managing strategic, creative and technical projects
- Knowledge of file pre-press and printer specifications preferred
- Experience in direct mail preferred
- Exceptional organizational skills including attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Strong working knowledge of project management best practices
- Skilled at getting the best out of the people and projects that they oversee
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using project management software with inMotion experience preferred
- Experience with Wordpress and other CMS platforms preferred
- Understanding of the full marketing lifecycle and marketing automation, content management, analytics and email platforms
- Understanding of print production requirements and process
- Self-starter with a can do attitude and intense desire to excel
