Assistant/Associate Professor
Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans is seeking applicants for an Assistant/Associate Professor as faculty in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department. This is a full-time position in the tenure or clinical-track at an assistant or associate professor level. The OMS department’s primary responsibility is the training and development of pre- and postdoctoral trainees as well as meeting the OMS treatment needs of the community. Our 6-year integrated OMS – MD residency program is regarded as one of the busiest and best CODA accredited training programs in the country. The department has a long history of recruiting quality students/residents and graduating top-rated clinicians. Ability to practice full-scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is required.
Capacity for fellowship based clinical care is desirable: Head and Neck Surgery, Microvascular Reconstruction, Craniofacial Surgery or Cosmetic Facial Surgery. Candidate will also participate in the Faculty Practice, provide call coverage at our level 1 trauma facility, University Medical Center and affiliated hospitals.
Qualifications: DDS/DMD, OMFS certification, ABOMS certified or active candidate for certification, and eligibility for full licensure to practice in Louisiana. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
