General Description of Duties
Performs general warehouse duties. Operates warehouse/office supply store with minimum supervision. Performs periodic and annual inventories. Makes equipment/material pick-ups from vendors as necessary. Operates forklift and perform maintenance. Maintains storage areas in a neat and organized environment. Supervises alternative service workers as needed.

Tasks involve exercise of some judgment within well established and clearly defined procedures. Flow of work priorities shift frequently with occasional deadline pressures.

Duties are defined and checked periodically. Guidance is sought on issues concerning accounts, customer service issues, and vendor matters. Written guidelines are available.

INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CUSTOMER CONTACT
The work primarily involves contact with other departmental personnel, but may involve contact with local vendors for the purpose of deliveries or cost quotes; and the Sheriff's Department or State Attorney's Office for the purpose of issuing supplies.
EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS USED
Personal computer, word processing software, Banner, fax machine, and adding machine/basic calculator. Operates vehicle and forklift.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is performed mainly indoors in a non-climate controlled warehouse. Primarily, the employee will be seated, working mainly at a desk or video display terminal.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of procurement, inventory control, and disposal of supplies and equipment.
Knowledge of standard office machines, office procedures and processes, and filing systems.
Knowledge of personal computer software in a Windows environment.
Knowledge of office filing and support practices.
Skills to effectively perform stock record accounting.
Ability to effectively and accurately follow through on assignments with attention to details.
Ability to cross reference series of duplicated numbers for errors.
Ability to read, write, and communicate orally.
Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of job related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Necessary Special Requirements:
A valid State of Florida Driver's License with a favorable driving record required at the time of employment where appropriate.
All Leon County employees (regular full-time and part-time, OPS, and PRN) are required to work before, during and after a Declared Local State of Emergency (DLSOE). Participation is considered a condition of employment.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
The purpose of this position is to procure, stock, and issue parts and other supplies in support of all County Departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Manages assigned area of the warehouse function (automotive parts, office supply center, road materials and safety equipment). Coordinates with divisions for requirements, stock levels, and disposal of office supplies and assigned warehouse materials. Determines order quantities. Monitors items with shelf life for rotation and disposal as needed. Prepares and processes requisitions for office supplies. Issues supplies as necessary. Receives deliveries and verifies invoice documents against due-in files. Places items in proper stock locations. Processes invoices. Forwards receipts and issues documentation to finance. Posts receiving documents in Banner System.
Processes customer requisitions. Screens requisitions for stock and non-stock items. Issues items on hand to end users. Posts requisitions to Banner System upon completion of issuance.
Processes purchase orders. Solicits vendor quotes and selects best value for supplies. Fills out requests, checks for accuracy and completeness. Secures and verifies quantities and dollar amounts. Processes purchase orders in the Banner System. Establishes due-in file for open purchase orders.
Handles the receiving, stocking, and disposal of supplies. Receives deliveries and verifies invoice documents against due-in files. Places items in proper stock locations.
Provides office support. Maintains current and historical files for easy retrieval by staff. Assists in sorting and distributing incoming mail. Types/word processes purchase orders, reports, and other correspondence as necessary. Produces/edits daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as necessary.
