REGIONAL SERVICES INVENTORY ASSISTANT – Cascade Regional Inclusive Services

POSITION OVERVIEW
Innovative, resourceful and a support for kids! This position is all of these things as part of the Cascade Regional Inclusive Services. As a valuable member of this dynamic team of professionals, this role provides special education supports to the students in our twelve school districts in the Linn, Benton, and Lincoln region. This position creates, adapts and improves equipment and materials for students in need of alternative tools to access their education. This person is “behind the scenes” supporting the specialist who is providing the services in the schools to help those services come to fruition. This assignment is ever-changing, challenging and inspiring.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to be self-motivated, work independently and use time efficiently.
- Demonstrate proficiency in planning, organizing and coordinating assigned tasks.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once and prioritize based on urgency.
- Demonstrated skill in using office equipment and power tools as needed to complete assigned tasks.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the LBL Board of Directors/Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
GENERAL INFORMATION
This position has the following expectations and prerequisite abilities.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and FERPA.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal laws governing all aspects of our agency including ORSs, OARs, IDEA, FOIA and CIPA.

- Ability to lift, carry at least 25 pounds as well as ability to sit for extended periods of time in vehicle, desk and various sized school furniture.
- Ability to provide own transportation to local sites.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Create adaptive equipment/materials for students with unique needs.
- Adapt existing equipment/materials for use by a variety of individual students.
- Manage equipment library database and assist with yearly inventory.
- Create and maintain organizational systems for storage of equipment within LBL ESD facilities.
- Ensure proper cleaning, upkeep and maintenance of Cascade Regional equipment.
- Consult with Director and Cascade Regional teams on upkeep and replacement of equipment.
- Utilize a variety of office equipment (laminator, poster printer, comb punch, etc.), sewing machine and power tools to create and/or adapt educational materials.
- Collaborate with others to complete tasks and solve problems in a positive manner.
- Prioritize assigned/requested tasks to ensure materials are accessible to students in the timeliest manner possible.
SALARY AND BENEFIT INFORMATION
· Salary and benefit information shown are based on full-time employment (1.0 FTE)
based on the current school year
· Placement on the Linn Benton Lincoln ESD Classified salary schedule will be
commensurate with applicant’s qualifications, relevant training, and experience
· Linn Benton Lincoln ESD will provide an Insurance CAP to assist with health,
dental and vision insurance premiums
