REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor

DEPARTMENT: Assembly
POSITION SUMMARY: Assembles mixers for rubber and plastic machines
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the essential functions of the job. Understanding of and the ability to assemble heavy/large equipment Basic mechanical aptitude Ability to read and understand blueprints Ability to read micrometers and dial indicators Ability to do some stick welding (i.e. for mounting of brackets) Ability to do piping and tubing for grease systems Ability to use various hand and power tools Ability to operate overhead cranes and powered industrial trucks Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work safely at heights of up to 50 ft. (i.e. climb a ladder, use high lifts) Ability to use and wear safety equipment (i.e. respirator, safety glasses, steel toe boots, etc.) Excellent attention to detail Ability to multi-task

Assemble mixer parts and machinery from blueprints Operate tow motor to transfer parts within plant Use overhead crane to lift and move parts Tear down and clean parts as needed Paint parts by hand or use spray gun in paint booth

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment is a standard manufacturing environment with concrete flooring, heat/no air, forklift traffic, overhead crane movement, and various employees performing independent tasks. This position works in a team of at least two employees.
