Vice President, Solutions Architect Columbus, OH.
Duties: Provide leadership in defining architectural solutions. Set architectural direction and coordinate the efforts of the various architects within the Core Banking Technology organization. Interact with key business decision makers, line of business architects, application leads both within and outside the Core Banking Technology organization and Global Technology Infrastructure technical experts. Ensure alignment of cloud adoptions with the value propositions and our capabilities. Work with application lead engineers to facilitate migration of existing applications to cloud, and work on design and migration of new applications. Balance engineering factors and business value and time horizons. Work on design with team, and articulate architecture for other stakeholders. Identify missing cloud features and constraints. Participate in every phase of software delivery life cycle including requirement, analysis and design, build code, unit test, support system and integration testing, implementation phase and post implementation support. Identify and communicate potential impacts of a change/issue to other areas within JPMorgan Chase. Collaborate with internal teams and business leaders to create strategically sound Target State Architectures based on latest technologies like Kafka, Micro services patterns, Distributed Database technologies, Cloud platforms, Kubernetes, Containerization, etc. Collaborate with firm-wide architecture and engineering policy and standards groups to ensure compliance on solution patterns and frameworks. Institutionalize modern software engineering best practices to continually improve our internet-scale, business-critical applications’ quality to predictably deliver business value. Interface with product management, customer security, and software development teams to remove engineering design roadblocks, improve delivery velocity and product consistency. Oversee the technical design of several key components across multiple applications and projects. Partner with developers to implement key components/frameworks. Code review and mentor developers to improve quality of implementations. Identify and facilitate issue resolutions. Participate in meetings at the project level, providing continuous feedback on project status and offering constructive options to ensure project tracks to original expectation. Ensure design and implementation is completed in accordance with all risk, architecture and other relevant firm-wide guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
Minimum experience required: Six (6) years of experience in Solution Architecture, or related experience.
Skills required: Experience with Cloud Native Design. Experience with Cloud Native Tech – Kafka. Experience with Cloud Native Tech – Cassandra. Experience with Cloud Native Tech – Kubernetes. Experience with Cloud Native Tech – SpringBoot. Experience with Architecture Frameworks. Experience with Event Driven Architecture.
