Position Summary:

  • Develops effective marketing strategies for clinical product lines to increase market share, patient visits, surgical activity and revenue growth.
  • Formulates strategies based on environmental analysis, market research, competitive analysis, operational availability.
  • Coordinates strategies while maintaining the integrity of the overall JHM organizational goals.
  • Plans and develops product line marketing budgets that are linked to key tactics.
  • Manages and directs marketing staff assigned to the project, vendors, consultants, fellows and interns.
  • Integrates information and strategies with other Marketing and Communications staff in an effort to develop a seamless marketing system.
  • Works with team members in public relations, communications and media relations to maximize exposure for key service lines.
  • Serves on task forces and committees and makes internal presentations as required.
  • Responsible for Marketing Division projects as needed.
  • Develops and implements regional media plans, including local media buys.

Education:

Bachelor's degree required with advanced course work in marketing, advertising, healthcare communication. Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

Minimum 7-10 years of in-depth experience in product line marketing. Experience with a complex medical tertiary care delivery systems, primary care/managed care preferred, in communications, public relations, marketing or advertising. Agency experience desirable.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • In-depth experience in product line marketing (healthcare preferred).
  • Experience in brand marketing.
  • Experience with market research and analysis.
  • Specific knowledge of marketing principles and practices, , strategic planning, marketing communications and program development.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to interact with senior leadership and high level external contacts.
  • Ability to perform well in a collaborative environment.
