Full-Time Hall Director
James Madison University is accepting applications for a Full-Time Hall Director. The successful candidate should be creative, enthusiastic, organized and willing to work in a department that values learning, student development and fun. The Full-Time Hall Director position is a 12-month live-in position. A furnished apartment, professional development funds and a partial meal plan also provided.
Select, train, supervise and evaluate 11-18 resident advisers; plan and implement residence hall educational and social events; interpret and enforce university and residence hall policies; Involvement in committee work for the Office of Residence Life; instruct RA class and study skills class; implement check-in and check-out procedures and provide referrals to other university services. The successful candidate may have the opportunity to work with a live-in Faculty in Residence member. May advise Community Activities Board (hall council).
The successful candidate will have:
• Significant experience with college or university residence hall management
• Staff supervision
• Flexibility and ability to manage daily changes and challenges is vital
Preferred:
• Residence life experience
• Supervisory experience
• Student conduct experience
• Group advising experience
• Administrative/management experience
• A bachelor's degree
Maximum Starting: $38,000.
