About the Job
We are currently seeking a Senior Marketing Proposal Coordinator to lead marketing collateral and proposal management through all stages of the sales pipeline. The ideal candidate will support our talented engineering and environmental practitioners in the development of compliant, comprehensive, and persuasive submittals of proposals, opportunity-specific statements of qualifications (SOQs), requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for information (RFIs), and other related marketing materials. Other responsibilities will include participating in the proposal selection process, managing, scheduling, editing, and production of submittals and related sales-supporting materials, evaluating selection criteria, and developing appropriate response strategies. You will work closely with our engineering and environmental practitioners to build client and market intelligence, build compelling win strategies, enhance brand messaging, and manage tracking of project opportunities.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Marketing Proposal Coordinator, your job functions will include, but not be limited to:
- Assess the requirements, develop a strategy and value proposition, and build a response to all client requested marketing materials (RFPs, RFIs, proposals, SOQs, tear sheets, ad hoc client requests)
- Track project opportunities based on the strategic technical and regional goals
- Track proposal costs; evaluate return on investment (ROI) in coordination with business directors
- Work collaboratively with technical and administrative staff to ensure a smooth and efficient project management process through detailed work plans, clearly defined deliverables and deadlines, and strong management ability
- Collect information, including win/loss and post-engagement client interviews and surveys to identify trends and make recommendations to improve proposal success rate and ROI
- Research, assess, and recommend technology, processes, and tools that will streamline and improve processes and procedures
- Develop compelling message delivery mediums, and ensure quality and compliance with client requirements
- Create, edit, and produce presentation material for technical professionals to use in meetings with prospective clients that touch on corporate history and organization, broad capabilities, technical specialties, and other topics which support the client development process
- Identify and accommodate unexpected developments during the proposal response process, and provide appropriate communication to all key stakeholders
- Assist with production of internal and external email communications
- Coordinate the collection, updating, customization, and segmentation of professional resumes for technical staff to be used in all public-facing circumstances
- Perform special projects and related work as required
Qualifications
Candidates should hold an undergraduate or graduate degree in marketing, communications, English, journalism, or a related field.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 7 years of progressive experience in the marketing of professional services (e.g., engineering, architecture, legal)
- 5 years of business writing experience; some of which may be direct project/production management (including authoring certain components) of RFPs in a professional services environment
- Ability to understand and articulate through storytelling our clients' needs to formulate a cohesive and persuasive message consistent with our organizations technical capabilities and expertise
- Graphic design experience and familiarity with Adobe Illustrator
- Demonstrated proficiency in formatting, writing, editing, and proofreading
- Experience with development and execution of effective social media/digital marketing campaigns a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency with current MS Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- A desire to grow both intellectually and professionally
- Possess strong organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and operational staff
