Payroll Administrator
Position Summary:
The Payroll Administrator supports the Accounting Department through the primary focus of processing and facilitating payroll and compensation activities. This position may also support other accounting functions such as tax audits, benefit management and various accounting reporting/reconciliation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This list is not comprehensive but meant to represent the most common or important duties of the position. Other duties are required and/or assigned.
- Processes/balances payroll activities on a weekly and/or semi-monthly basis to ensure timely and accurate transfer of funds
- Ensures accuracy of new employee information within ADP and InfoCision systems
- Reviews status, wage and demographic changes submitted by employees and/or Workspace Administrative Assistants. Communicates with workspace and/or Human Resources to ensure proper protocol and state guidelines are met
- Audits accrued vacation/PTO/sick time balances for eligible employees
- Assists in auditing benefit premium payments and other supporting activities
- Reviews and updates employee tax and retirement records in accordance with prevailing tax codes and legislative mandates
- Prepares and enters financial data, analyzes, reconciles, and balances data processing and electronic time input batches
- Interacts with Sr. Director of Accounting, Sr. Payroll Supervisor, internal and external auditors (as applicable) and other members of the InfoCision enterprise to provide necessary support
Minimum Requirements of All Applicants:
- Direct work experience in accounting/payroll department preferred
- Working knowledge and ability to apply general accounting principles
- Must have working knowledge/ability to use Microsoft Office products
- Working knowledge of ADP applications a plus
- Must have interpersonal skills (verbal and written) to interact with other InfoCision employees and external clients/vendors
- Must be able to work at home virtually and/or brick and mortar
- Must meet appropriate technical requirements that allow employee to perform essential job responsibilities (if working at home)
- Must have high level of interpersonal skills/ethical standards to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Must be a task driven individual

The Payroll Administrator must have:
- Ability to complete, understand and interpret complex analysis of numbers/spreadsheets/reports. Must be able to forecast, troubleshoot, and solve problems.
- Ability to effectively communicate with others using both verbal and written means
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written material, respond appropriately to feedback, and make necessary changes/improvements. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and other necessary materials.
- Knowledge of business communication, office procedures and methods. Skill to use a personal computer and various software packages such as Microsoft Office 365 and various payroll/accounting software
- Ability to work independently as well as in project teams
- Ability to read, listen, and communicate (verbally and in writing) for hours at a time; use equipment such as, but not limited to, computer, computer monitor, mouse, keyboard, telephone, headset and other office equipment as needed
