Senior Program Manager
Who We Are Looking For: Impactual seeks an enthusiastic and experienced project manager who has a passion for politics, pop culture and making a difference. As a Senior Program Manager you will have the opportunity to contribute to innovative and bold initiatives tackling some of the biggest social issues of today.
As a Senior Program Manager at Impactual, you will work with our firm's partners and team to support a portfolio of philanthropic, nonprofit, and/or brand strategy clients with the development and implementation of civic engagement strategies aimed at achieving long-term social impact goals. You will help plan and oversee multiple assigned projects simultaneously to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. Senior Program Manager candidates must have project management experience and experience coordinating project teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Project Management.
- Assist with definition of scope and objectives for assigned projects and develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
- Create project plans, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and summarize progress to ensure that all aspects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget. Coordinate internal processes to develop or alter project plans to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
- Coordinate internal and external team members by assigning tasks, communicating deliverables, and providing updates on strategy, adjustments, and progress.
- Serve as a point of contact on the client account, handling incoming requests and sensitive information.
- Research and Writing.
- Conduct research on policy, political, or cultural developments, such as civic events and trends, and participate in brainstorming sessions to help guide client strategy;
- Draft client-facing deliverables, including pitch decks, reports, presentations, memos, and correspondence;
- Represent the company or clients in meetings and webinars as needed;
- Ensure work meets our standards for proper grammar, formatting, integrity, and originality.
- Special Projects.
- Impactual is a small firm and we're an all-hands-on-deck team. In a rapidly changing environment, this role may be responsible for other special projects and duties as assigned.
Here's what we're looking for for this role:
- A strong project manager. You have a track record of managing projects to priorities and deadlines, delegating in a manner that sets team members up for success, and staying engaged as appropriate. You've drafted and adapted project plans to guide and organize the work, and you've successfully kept your team aligned on priorities.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented. You achieve 100% follow-through, carefully tracking and prioritizing projects and tasks big and small, urgent or slow burning, whether for yourself or your team. Even with dozens of moving pieces and incoming communications, you streamline into a single plan or system and organize information for team members' easy reference. You anticipate needs before they arise and attend to small details as appropriate.
- An effective and efficient communicator. You communicate clearly and concisely in writing for various audiences, and are prepared to craft high-quality proposals and presentations for clients. You can quickly gather, synthesize, and communicate information. You're honest and proactive in your communication, ask questions to get more information, and provide appropriate context when sharing information. You're an approachable, active listener who inspires trust and confidence from others.
- Management experience. You've successfully managed a staff member, intern, or contractor. You are intentional and empathetic in delivering positive and constructive feedback, and are able to hold team members accountable. You delegate thoughtfully, communicate expectations explicitly, and stay engaged as needed.
- Some political experience/knowledge. You've worked in or followed politics in some capacity-working or volunteering on a campaign, in a state capitol, with an advocacy or civic engagement organization, or are closely following some aspect of politics or specific issues in your personal/professional capacity. You have some understanding of the political landscape and can identify and flag important shifts.

Compensation and Benefits: Impactual aims to be a responsible and supportive employer and cultivate a fun and inclusive work environment. The salary range for this full-time, non-exempt position is $70,000-$90,000 depending on experience. Benefits include:
- Eleven paid holidays, plus the week between Christmas and New Years;

Location: Impactual LLC is a fully remote team as of 2021. Candidates living in/willing to relocate to AZ, CA, CO, DC, FL, MD, NC, VA, VT, or WA are welcome to apply. All Impactual staff are expected to generally be available 10a-5p ET, regardless of where they live and work. Candidates may be expected to travel for work approximately 1-3 weeks per quarter, as CDC guidelines allow.
