Marketing & PR Manager
Reports to: Global Head of Marketing (London, UK)
Dotted line reporting to Managing Director, Imagination Detroit and Managing Director, Imagination Houston and New York
Working with: Strategy managers and Business managers in all three offices, HR Consultant
You'll be responsible for raising the profile of this highly successful, independent creative agency to attract both new clients and new employees. If you're skilled at seeking out proof points of a business strategy, and translating them into communications that get readers and responses, then this may the job for you.
You'll work with the Global Head of Marketing to define and deliver Imagination's marketing, PR and new business strategy in the USA, Canada and Mexico. Typically, you'll:
- Work with the Global Marketing team and prospecting agency to create and deliver strategic content campaigns and events to raise brand awareness and drive prospects down the conversion funnel.
- Lead the development of Imagination the America's PR strategy, working with the Global Head of Marketing & PR and local Managing Director to build Imagination's brand profile through new work, hires and appointment press releases, thought leadership, comment and feature opportunities.
- Build and maintain media contacts and identify suitable publication opportunities through media partnerships and be a point of contact for information/comment from journalists; coordinate relevant stakeholders/employees to respond as appropriate.
- Identify speaking and judging opportunities to profile key stakeholders.
- Unearth thought leaders within Imagination, work with our Content Marketing Manager to prepare articles and propose both timely and reactive content ideas based on industry, trend and sector research.
- Define and manage US awards and league table programs, identifying key projects and categories. Prepare award entries (written, and other assets), and monitor the landscape, proposing new awards or improvements to increase success rates.
- Create a regional content calendar to feed into a global content calendar, identifying key campaigns and events.
- Create local case studies, managing the development of copy and assets for the global website and credentials.
- Take responsibility for the quality and consistency of regional output - from attention to detail, to the integrity of the editorial and the reflection of the Imagination brand.
Experience and skills required:
- A strategic mindset and entrepreneurial spirit with a great eye for detail.
- B2B marketing & PR experience or media relations role, in-house or agency.
- Skilled in using Marketing & PR to drive business results.
- Possess impressive examples of strong content generation and supporting creative campaigns.
- Ability to build good relationships with key influencers, industry voices, media outlets and journalists
- Proven track record of creating content to help feed prospecting funnel.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to create compelling, topical and timely content that will appeal to broader external audiences.
- Ability to multitask, work efficiently in a high-paced environment and under tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Diplomatic and collaborative

- Marketing & PR Manager, Americas.
This role and the team are part of the Business Development Team which includes the Head of New Business. The team's remit is to create and implement the Global marketing strategy for Imagination with the focus on embedding Imagination's proposition/core offers, driving new business, talent acquisition, client development and cultivating culture.
