As a Director of Talent + Development, you will support overall agency operations, business processes, tools, vendors and administrative support, as well as leading and implementing all human resources initiatives and ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations. You'll be responsible for implementing and maintaining the infrastructure as well as identifying and coordinating talent services. You'll drive operational excellence throughout the organization with a focus on moving forward and a positive, growth mindset.

Director of Talent + Development Core Responsibilities:
 
  • Work with the leadership team to drive a performance-focused culture as well as providing strategic counsel on all people matters.
  • Handle all administrative as well as strategic aspects of human resources.
  • Manage large-scale transformation programs through strategic planning and delivery of project initiatives.
  • Strategically review benefit and compensation initiatives and ensure they remain competitive.
  • Lead all recruiting initiatives, working with hiring managers to ensure the new hire process incorporates future needs and develops employer brand.
  • Lead the analysis of employee feedback and data, with the goal of creating a better work environment and continuously improve on our already engaged culture.
  • Manage all talent (HRIS, Benefits, Applicant tracking) systems to ensure data is accurate, the system is functioning properly, and that the team understands how to use it.
  • Ensure agency is compliant with all state and federal employment laws across multiple states.
  • Comfortable with innovation, and always striving to create new and more efficient processes in all areas (recruiting, onboarding, benefits, talent processes, employee relations, training, etc.).
  • Partner with team on all diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Develop team training programs and individual coaching needs.
  • Oversee the administrative and operations team.
  • Support agency partners and team in building and growing a fun, dynamic, accountable, and giving culture at Ideas Collide.
  • Leading by example with a flexible attitude and positive communication across the team.
  • Being the steward and champion of the Ideas Collide culture by fostering trust and a positive environment for all team members. Advocating for diversity, equity and inclusion at all levels. Identifying training and programs to further meet DE+I goals, programs and partnerships.
  • Participating fully on the DE+I collaborative group within the agency and with key community partners.
  • Collaborating with executive staff to research and develop performance-based compensation and benefits.
  • Providing consultation on all performance-related matters.
  • Running all aspects of full cycle recruiting.
  • Building communication plans and internal approaches to better communication among the team at all locations.
  • Developing tools and systems to improve hybrid work, team connection and partnership across multiple teams and locations.
  • Leading training programs from outside organizational behavior experts.
  • Managing committed training calendar, leadership training and people programs for the agency,
  • Building out and presenting on various training topics; comfort level with public speaking is a must.
 
Compensation Package
 
Your compensation will be a combination of salary, profit share opportunities and company benefits including health insurance, 401(K) company match, weekly paid discovery, wellness/renewal days off and volunteer time options.
 
Location + Work Requirements
 
50-75% in office with hybrid-of remote and in-office based in Phoenix, Arizona with ability to connect virtually or in person in other office locations as required. Travel depending on business needs, about twice per year.

Director of Talent + Development - Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8 years' senior level Human Resources experience, preferably at a senior manager or director level.
  • SHRM HR certification and/or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience.
  • Solid employment law knowledge.
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience overseeing the payroll function.
  • Experience in development and running training and development programs.
  • Experience with benefits design, selection and administration.
  • Experience developing compensation programs is a plus.
  • Strong coaching skills with proven experience at influencing at all levels.
  • Proven experience leading a team of direct and indirect reports.
