Affordable Housing Program Assistant
Join one of the leading nonprofit affordable housing organizations. Assist with housing counseling, coordinate assistance programs, educate, and lead community outreach. Estimated hours at 35-40 hours per week. Job may require flexibility and attendance at evening or weekend activities. Experience in affordable housing, housing counseling, real estate, banking, education, or mortgage lending is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel required. Administrative skills in writing and reporting, proficiency in interpersonal communication, and the ability to develop and monitor file systems are all required. Duties and Assignments:
- Work closely with the Program Director to support Homes on the Hill (HOTH) programs.
- Provide program information to the general public. Answer phone calls/emails, schedule clients for appointments, and provide referral information.
- Promote HOTH and HOTH programs with community outreach and on social media platforms and other marketing streams.
- Coordinate general marketing of HOTH.
- Represent HOTH at community events and/or virtual meetings.
- Assist in administrative assignments, including but not limited to project reporting, grant writing, meeting scheduling, research, and data reporting.
- Support housing counseling staff in delivery of HUD-certified homebuyer education, foreclosure prevention, and eviction prevention programs.
- Assist with non-HUD-approved housing counseling activities / rental assistance applications.
- Other duties as assigned.
