Event Producer
State of Reform, an HMA company, is looking to fill the role of Event Producer, and we'd be thrilled to hear from you if you're interested.
State of Reform covers state health care and health policy across fifteen states. We host virtual conferences and conversations to create "live journalism," giving senior health care executives and health policy leaders an opportunity to speak to the work they are doing to inform broader system reform.
Our content focus is on policy analysis and market intelligence to the health care and human service sectors.
We provide this content where it works best for our information consumers, through multiple discrete channels: virtual conversations, hybrid in-person/virtual conferences, email newsletters, website news, web video, social media, and small run book publishing.
And, we would love to have you reach out if you're interested in joining the team!
Job Description & Responsibilities
We're looking for an Event Producer who can help us continue to build our virtual conferences and conversations. Virtual event experience isn't critical - we can teach you - but experience building events at some level is a must. If you have some digital background or skills, all the better.
Your primary job will be finding, supporting, and building relationships to support speaker curation, recruitment and support across our events and conferences.
At each event, we have between 60 and 100 speakers. It takes a lot of work to pull together the right folks, and to help them become successful at one of our events. It'll be your job to help make this happen as part of a team. You will also be tasked with helping to manage elements of our conferences, both online and in-person.
Ideally, you're detail oriented. You've got charisma. You take initiative. But, you'll need to be able to do things right the first time before moving onto the next shiny object. We can teach you, but you'll need to take time to learn.
You'll need some tech savvy, preferably with WordPress. If you have social media, graphic design, or podcast production experience, that counts in your favor, too.
Here is some of what that looks like.
-
Responsibility for curating, recruiting and supporting speakers as part of our agenda development team
-
Work on a team building, supporting and maintaining our online event presence and our in-person conferences
-
Work with our sponsorship management team to implement sponsor benefits across multiple settings
-
Identifying new sponsor development leads across both conference and content settings
-
Working with digital tools to support sponsors and their digital virtual conference experience
