Job Summary
The Associate Admin., Pharmacy Services will report to the SVP Chief Pharmacy & Lab Officer and will lead the enterprise to provide service to our patients through adoption of industry leading and transformative pharmacy best practices. The Associate Administrator will be responsible for enterprise-wide pharmacy focused on excellence in quality and patient safety in a High reliable organization. The Associate Admininstrator also, will draw upon their demonstrated expertise to accurately assess Pharmacy operating environments, appraise and prioritize challenges, and design operational plans to achieve efficient, high performing services encompassing human resources, service delivery optimization, automation and information technology applications, cost effective formulary & inventory optimization, population health initiatives (wellness, prevention, and disease management), safety and regulatory readiness. The Associate Admin. must establish strong collaborative relationships with key medical, nursing and executive leaders throughout the organization and external key stakeholders to achieve bold and innovative services that are in alignment with the system's strategic plans. The Associate Admin. will be expected to continuously assess healthcare and pharmacy environments and proactively develop short and long term strategies to ensure that the pharmacy services department is well-positioned for current and future success.
Minimum Qualifications
Degrees: Bachelor's Degree in Science or related field or Pharm D; (Residency Preferred)
Master's degree; MHA and /or MBA preferred
Licenses & Certifications: TX BOP License; must obtain Texas license within the first 90 days of employment
Work Experience: Fifteen (15) years of Pharmacy experience
Management Experience: Ten (10) Years of Management/Operations experience in director level or above
Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact), Exceptional Verbal (Public Speaking), Writing/Correspondence, Writing/Reports
Proficiencies: MS Word, P.C.
