Hanwha has acquired Cimarron Composites and as a result, will be growing rapidly in the R&D Center and Aerospace manufacturing areas in Huntsville as well as in a new manufacturing facility being built in Opelika, AL.
Hanwha Cimarron, LLC designs, manufactures, and tests composite pressure vessels for a variety of aerospace and industrial uses - including rockets (for NASA and SpaceX), submersibles, CNG tube trailers, and much more. We specialize in all types of composite pressure vessels for various industrial/storage uses, including hydrogen tube trailers, ultra-high pressure tanks for hydrogen filling stations, and tanks for hydrogen powered vehicles.

Process Engineer
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Influence product and manufacturing design changes for improved COGs and manufacturing scalability.
- Assist and lead product and process transfers to manufacturing.
- Work with the operations staff to ensure products under development are optimally manufacturable and resolve manufacturing issues.
- Support the development of process improvements, methods, and production controls.
- Validate processes, evaluate failure data to find root cause and implement sound solutions.
- Develop acceptable documentation for the manufacturing process or product (including but not limited to: Work Instructions, Test methods, Drawings, Specifications, PFMEAs, Control Plans, Protocols and Reports, Validation Protocols and Reports).
Operational Competencies:
- Ability to interact professionally at multiple levels.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
- Flexibility and ability to adjust to changing priorities and unforeseen events; excellent time management skills.
- Able to handle high pressure situations and constructively resolve potential conflicts
Preferred Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and/or min 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing/process engineering experience in a federally regulated or industry standards controlled environment.
Experience in project management
Required Work Experience:
Experience and working knowledge of regulatory, compliance and quality requirements in a manufacturing environment is essential.
Functional knowledge of process validation execution.
Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications especially, MS Office Suite. (Access, MS Project)
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment
