Overview
We are looking for a Reload Forklift Operator to join our team in Moderto, California. We have two openings. In this posiiton the primary function of the forklift operator is to load / unload railcars / trucks in accordance with company policy and tags inbound cars / trucks at the time of unloading. They also assist when necessary to tie down the rail cars. This position reports directly to the reload manager. Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following.

Responsibilities
- Must be an experienced forklift operator or be trained by experienced operator
- Must have working knowledge of lumber products to include grade and species
- Unload inbound railcars and trucks in a timely manner
- Confirm tally for railcars / trucks, tag stock as unloading and turn in tally sheet immediately so stock can be received
- Confirm all tags match and report any discrepancies to the office immediately
- Move stock within the yard in a safe manner while putting away in the correct area
- Must have the ability to load truck using the "Pick Ticket" ensuring correct tally is loaded to include owner, product code, length, piece count and total number of units
- Must be willing to provide backup within the reload when requested
- Must maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Must comply with all company health and safety policies
- Must be willing to assist in the daily yard operation as needed

- Must be willing to work overtime and any shift necessary
- Management may modify, add or reallocate job responsibilities to better accommodate the needs of the business
Qualifications
- Operate forklift in a safe and productive manner
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Understanding of inventory control with an emphasis on tagged inventory
- Ability to climb and work on top of railcars using fall protection
- Practice safe work habits and comply with all company work and safety standards
- Proven customer service skills and related verbal & written communication skills
- Attention to detail with excellent problem solving skills, high degree of accuracy and efficiency
- Knowledge of lumber industry preferred but not required
- Maintain high personal and professional standards of focus, attention, and dedication to work
- Continue education for professional improvement

Education & Training Required: High School diploma or equivalent required
Work Conditions: Incumbent should be able to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, talk, hear, and write. Frequent lifting, handling, or moving of objects without assistance weighing up to 35 pounds may be required.
