Overview
This is an Entry Level position.
Quad Sawmill Weekend Bobcat Operator/Firewatch, Friday - Monday,3pm - 1:30am
Weekend clean-up that reaches areas not reachable during production times.
Efficiently operate the Bobcat in a safe manner, by being able to enter confined areas and maneuver around sufficiently. To do all required clean up of piled and miscellaneous debris under and around the sawmill. Perform preventative maintenance and maintain appropriate checklist.

Responsibilities
- Comply with all company work and safety policies and related industry regulations.
- Respond to radio calls by millwrights to direct where help/ fire watch needed while they are on site.
- Be able to take responsibility to maintain a safe and clean environment while helping maintenance personnel.
- Sign all fire tags every hour.
- Know location of all fire extinguishers.
- Know and understand the wet down policy and procedures
- Know and understand the corporate fire prevention policy
- Be willing to work overtime when asked. Be willing to stay on the job until all tasks are completed.
- Clean up bark
- Must complete daily operator inspection forms for bobcat. Complete written work orders as necessary to initiate repairs.
- Must operate bobcat in a safe, efficient manner, taking care not to cause equipment or property damage.
- Perform preventative maintenance and maintain appropriate checklist.
- Must monitor all trash can depositories, keep cans empty and areas cleaned up.
Qualifications
- Willing and eligible to be PIT trained.
- Must be properly trained by a qualified operator. (Willing to complete the 40 hours hands on training to become Qualified on Bobcat)
- Good manual dexterity.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Good communication skills through speech and hearing.
- Able to walk around on catwalks and uneven surfaces.
- Practice safe work habits.
