Business Development Officer
Greater KC Public Safety Credit Union's mission is simple: "To provide financial empowerment to the First Responder Community." Our rich history began with a small group of law enforcement officers, but with dedication and elite member service, we are proud to now serve Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS, and their families in our community.
We are seeking a self-starting, energetic business relationship guru to assume the role of Business Development Officer. This position will work directly with senior leadership and digital marketing to develop and execute marketing plans that will support the organization's growth and connect with current and prospective members.

The main duties:
- Become a subject matter expert on credit union products and services to deliver effective and influential presentations at credit union-sponsored events, staff, and community functions.
- Assist digital marketing in all aspects of the sales and marketing CRM (HubSpot).
- Design, develop and implement creative marketing and business development programs for the Credit Union to ensure growth and new business, track and evaluate results of programs
- Serve as staff liaison to designated groups or organizations within the first responder community. Coordinate volunteer staffing for public relations events and sponsorships, as needed.
- Work with other departments and outside vendors to increase service delivery, efficiency, and profitability.

- Schedule - Generally, M-F 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (Flexibility with consideration to evening/weekend events)
- Status: Full Time, Exempt
- Starting Salary: Starting at $60,000
- Location: Main Branch located at 2800 E 14th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64127*

*This position does require some off-site work in business development but is not a remote position.

The 'must-have' list:
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate and build relationships.
- Professional track record in fostering relationships, marketing strategies and programs, and building community engagement through events.
- *Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with the ability to travel in the KC Metro area.
- Willing to spend anywhere from 30-50% of your time fostering agency relationships with in-person visits and event participation throughout the KC Metro area.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends, as necessary.
The wish list:
- Experience in sales and marketing CRMs and WordPress web management.
- Involvement with lead lifecycle sales processes and workflows.
- Experience in event planning and coordination.
- Previous financial institution experience.
The qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business finance, communications, or related field; or
- Five years of experience in sales, marketing, business development, or related field; the financial industry is a bonus.
- A combination of education (degrees and/or certificates) and experience will be considered.
