ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION
Established in 1884, Glenmeadow is an accredited life plan community, with a mission to serve older adults in the Greater Springfield region, whether they live at our Longmeadow campus or in their own homes. The organization provides independent and assisted living at 24 Tabor Crossing in Longmeadow and expanded Glenmeadow at Home services throughout greater Springfield.
JOB SUMMARY
Works to achieve defined goals for occupancy and program revenue for each area, including residential apartments and Glenmeadow at Home programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the sales effort and support all marketing initiatives. Specifically, you are expected to:
- Make presentations and gives tours to potential residents, clients, and referral sources. Qualify prospects for level of interest, need, age, financial ability, and time to make the decision.
- Communicate with wait list members and potential residents, clients, and referral sources by telephone, e-mail, mail, and in person to build rapport and further relationships.
- Schedule arrivals, transfers, and departures, working with other departments to coordinate the logistics.
- Utilize the Enquire sales database for relationship and activity tracking; pull reports and lists; update contact information; and provide other administrative coordination as needed.
- Serve as community liaison to area civic, industry and networking groups. Attend meetings, serve on committees, and make presentations to generate positive perception of Glenmeadow.
- Work with Vice President of Marketing to identify and implement strategies and campaigns, including advertising, direct mail, public relations, special events, web marketing, and other activities, to drive lead activity and grow the waiting list.
- Maintain a flexible work schedule to allow for evening and weekend appointments.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communications skills, be a self-starter, and have a positive attitude. Specific requirements:
- Be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups and individuals.
- The demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while managing deadlines.
- Computer literacy, including a strong proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
- A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a related area, and a minimum of two years of work experience in a marketing or sales environment, preferably with a senior living or services provider.
- Passion for helping to improve the lives of older adults is expected.
