The Senior Analyst, Compensation provides support to General Dynamics' Corporate Headquarters Compensation department by preparing and analyzing compensation data, inputting, extracting, and analyzing benchmark data, administering the equity compensation program, administering the annual merit program, developing reports to track vital information and assisting with compensation and related programs.

The successful candidate will perform the following responsibilities:

  • Supports the annual executive compensation process through the use of survey data analysis and database management
  • Prepares and analyzes internal and external compensation data, summarizing findings and making recommendations as appropriate
  • Conduct job evaluations using market and internal data to regularly analyze and ensure a competitive market position
  • Uses Microsoft Excel or other compensation databases to manage data and provide critical analysis
  • Conducts research and data analysis to other departments as necessary
  • Supports annual survey participation, including the timely reporting and submission of data, data review, and reporting of survey results
  • Supports the administration of the General Dynamics Stock Plan and is proficient to answer equity related questions from employees and other stakeholders
  • Responsible for providing accurate Section 16 equity transaction data to the Legal Department for SEC filings
  • Facilitates collection of data required for disclosure in the companys annual proxy statement
  • Provides day-to-day equity support using Fidelity Brokerage Services Plan Sponsor Webstation (PSW) and working directly with Fidelity personnel
  • Administers the annual merit and incentive process within SuccessFactors, including the creation of all necessary reports to support administration of these programs
  • Maintains and processes all records with regard to the General Dynamics Executive Compensation Program
  • Provides audit support where necessary
  • Manages, creates, and maintains corporate job descriptions
  • Applies continuous improvement initiatives to support the overall business strategy
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Training Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience necessary to perform the essential functions of the job
  • Masters degree preferred
  • Experience working with SuccessFactors, Oracle/PeopleSoft, and Fidelity PSW preferred

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of five (5) years prior analytical analysis experience required with a strong preference for experience working in a Compensation department

Other Requirements:

  • Experience with Fidelity PSW, PeopleSoft, and SuccessFactors preferred
  • Experience in data management/analysis required
  • Ability to create spreadsheets and reports for use by end users/business partners
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, ability to demonstrate judgment in working through complex transactions and communicate observations and insights
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively work with and communicate compensation analyses to people at all levels, including corporate executives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to perform duties with little direction and handle multiple tasks successfully and simultaneously
  • Strong financial acumen preferred
  • Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated by start date unless medical or religious exceptions apply
  • Due to the nature of work performed by this individual, U.S. citizenship is required
  • Must be willing to work in the CHQ office Monday through Friday during regular business hours
