Gannett’s B2B Marketing team is looking for a passionate product marketing leader with a proven track record of bringing new concepts and products to market. Reporting into the Senior Director of Brand and Product Marketing, you’ll devise product messaging and positioning, competitive strategy, sales insights, and storytelling, as well as fostering strong partnerships with cross-functional teams to accelerate growth and adoption. The right person for the role has a growth mindset and experience closely partnering with product and sales leaders and has led a go-to-market strategy.
Responsibilities:
•Drive go-to-market strategies including targeting, segmentation, product positioning, value propositions, essential messaging, marketing channels and budgets across the customer journey to convert, grow and retain small business customers
•Influence and help define relevant themes and storyline about our products, the user problems we’re seeking to solve, and the industry and technology trends that we’re building upon.
•Establish clear priorities about tactics we will use that resonate among our small business target audience, accelerating adoption and satisfaction.
•Ideate and drive integrated campaigns including IP, data and customer stories, direct customer product education, and email marketing.
•Establish consistency and rigor in go-to-market planning to ensure that every new feature and product we introduce is well understood and relevant in solving marketing challenges for our target small business audience.
•Partner closely with leaders in creative, PR, product and engineering to ensure that cross-functional coordination is seamless
•Partner with Sales and Training and Customer Success to create a holistic approach to training and enablement, onboarding and ongoing customer engagement
•This person should be extremely well-organized, detail-oriented, eager to identify and apply new tactics and have a “can-do” approach. They will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible, enthusiastic, resourceful, and efficient.
Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, communications, business, or a relevant field.
• 3 years of direct experience specifically focused on B2B product marketing. At least 5 years of general marketing experience.
•Established reputation for driving both strategy and holding team members accountable for great execution.
•A strong cross-team collaborator and relationship-builder, developing strong networks and building credibility within the organization.
•Voracious appetite for storytelling, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Passion about digital marketing, small businesses and the problems we are solving for them.
•Preferred: experience working on products solving communication, collaboration, or productivity problems.
