We are hiring a Director of Regional Growth whose focus will include various projects aimed at growing subscription levels across the region and company.
The primary responsibilities are focused on subscription growth through new acquisition, engagement of subscribers, and retention programs that improve LTV levels. This position works closely with the newsrooms, global sales, and other growth teams to ensure marketing efforts are focused on each site’s contributing goals.
Responsibilities:
- Meet with assigned newsroom leaders on a regular basis to align visions and formulate strategy
- Create campaign plans tied to the local vision. Campaigns will focus on significant growth through sales, engagement and retention, with the ultimate goal being to replicate successful plans across cohorts
- Types of projects may include developing plans for new products, as well as focusing attention on existing opportunities
- This position needs to be able to provide compelling, statistical analysis prior to each campaign launch to gain the buy-in of the team
- The position will work with other growth teams and colleagues to identify test components and the statistics needed for tracking
- As the principal leader of each campaign, the regional director will need to closely monitor progress and adjust the original plan based on results
- As a member of the growth team, each director is assigned projects that span over several regions and will be required to work with other team members from design to implementation
- This is a very fast-paced, focused group that is required to work with many teams in order to successfully manage projects with positive outcomes
Requirements:
- Must be self-directed, a willing collaborator, and enjoy working in a team environment
- Must enjoy a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and be willing to take risks
- Must have the ability to achieve short-term goals while focusing on long-term organizational strategies
- Must stay focused on each plan and not allow for paralyzing scope creep
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate across teams
- Must be able to work remotely
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 8 years in a consumer marketing-related field, including 5 years in a subscription-based industry
- Minimum of 5 years in a management position
- A proven track record of designing campaigns that drive digital subscriptions
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Product Suite
- Strong acumen around social platforms and onsite functionality
- Understanding of cost metrics, P/L, and other business-related analysis
