The Growth Team is dedicated to supporting the departments goals of driving aggressive digital subscription growth and optimize channel expenses to sustain the print subscription base. This team is responsible for driving digital subscriptions for 200+ local Gannett markets and USA Today. This team owns and manages the media expenses across multiple acquisition channels and collaborates with key internal departments to manage onsite assets, meter optimization strategy, checkout experiences as well as platforms and payment options to drive conversions.
Job Purpose
The Growth Marketing Specialist, Affiliate will work alongside the Growth Manager, Lead Gen/Affiliate, supporting our newly launched affiliate program dedicated to driving digital subscription growth for 200+ local Gannett markets and USA Today. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical and detail-oriented, have a thorough understanding of affiliate marketing, how to best optimize campaigns and budgets, and be able to continuously learn from results. The Growth Marketing Specialist, Affiliate must be willing to be hands-on on on a day-to-day basis evaluating and enhancing campaigns while ensuring both short- and long-term goals are met.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant experience
- 1+ years’ developing and driving the affiliate marketing strategy for a complex and digital-focused organization with DTC multiple brands or products
- Strong verbal, written, analytical and comprehension skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and projects appropriately, understanding what involves the most urgency
- Ability to effectively communicate cross-functionally with all levels and teams. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite, most notably Excel and PowerPoint
- Positive outlook, eager to learn
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of SaaS technology platforms
- Experience with Google Analytics
