Project Assistant
Summary: Serves as the logistical coordinator for the project team that is developing new public interpretation for Clayton, one of The Frick Pittsburgh’s three museums and the historic home of the Frick family.

Reports to: Manager of Interpretation and Engagement
Hours: This is a one-year, non-exempt, part-time position: 10 hours per week; Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. –5:00 p.m. as needed; occasional weekend or evening hours possible.
Status: Temporary (one year), non-exempt, part-time position
Hourly Rate: $13.50 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates project logistics and provides general assistance to the Manager of Interpretation and project interpretation consultant
- Serves as the liaison between members of the project team and members of the advisory board
- Develops and maintains project schedule
- Helps to forecast and monitor program budget
- Organizes working meetings, advisory board meetings and facilitates related logistics
- Assists with the coordination of content development, including research materials and image rights.
- Organizes focus groups for content and experience prototype testing
- Keeps accurate records of processes and procedures during project development.
- Other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications:
- Committed to fostering a workplace culture of inclusion and belonging
- Bachelor’s Degree in (Public) Arts Management, Art Administration, Museum studies, project management, marketing/branding, communications, or related field is preferred.
- In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, an associate’s degree with two years art support related experience; or/ High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of four (4) years of direct experience supporting art projects/programs will be considered.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Engaging speaker with a good sense of humor, enthusiasm, energy, flexibility and adaptability.
- Professional, reliable and punctual, with an Interest in history and art.
- Must have good computer skills with access to a computer to download training materials, receive work-related communications, and meet virtually.
- Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background screening.
