Police Officer – Entry level and Lateral Officer
The Board of Fire and Police Commission is currently accepting applications for the position of Police Officer
Police Officer Minimum Requirements:
- Candidates must be between 21 to under 35 years of age at the time of orientation, unless otherwise exempt by statute
- U.S. Citizenship •Valid Driver’s License
- High School Graduate or equivalent (GED)
- Residency within a radius of 25 miles from City Hall upon completion of probationary period
- Applicants must not have been convicted of any felonies, serious misdemeanors or crimes of moral turpitude

Invitations to attend a mandatory orientation, physical agility (lateral officer exempt) and written examination will be sent to those applicants whose completed applications have been accepted.
