If you're the type of person who wants to shape the future of deep technology on Earth (and beyond!), build and grow startups around breakthrough tech, and operate highly complex programs - then we should talk.
FedTech builds and operates custom Accelerator programming (https://www.fedtech.io/accelerators) in which we partner with complex organizations such as the Department of Energy, Department of Defense, and corporations to accelerate the growth of diverse deep-tech startups - across technology verticals such as biotech, pharmaceuticals, AI/ML, distributed sensors, quantum computing, and more.
We are looking for an exceptional person to join the accelerators team in a leadership role as the Sr. Programs Manager; in this role, you'll report directly to the Portfolio Director and own the product quality of the custom accelerator programs we design, build, and implement. Your role as the Product Manager for FedTech's Accelerators portfolio will play a critical role in FedTech's growth into the top deep tech accelerator in the world.
What you will do:
- Execute and manage massively complex workstreams including: technology due diligence, cross-program coordination, mentor programs, guest speakers, immersion experiences, and more. Some of our accelerators incorporate startups ranging in size from 2 to 100 employees, stradling markets from biotech to cybersecurity, located across the globe - all within a single cohort!
- Act as 'Product Manager' for our custom accelerators, ensuring that the programming we design is up-to-date with the current trends and mechanics for growing sustainable deep tech ventures.
- Interface with our sponsors and clients - understanding the nuances of the problems they are solving, developing and sharing key metrics and narratives, and constantly learning about the deep tech innovation ecosystem.
- The US Department of Defense is a key leader in the emerging deep tech venture space - you'll build and own relationships across the DoD ecosystem on behalf of our deep tech startups.
- Advise startups on tactical and strategic growth strategies.
- Develop, nurture, and grow relationships within our network organically.
- Jump in wherever needed to advise our startups, operate programs, or almost anything else within reason -- we're a high-growth team within a startup...
What we value:
- Grit: To have the courage, resolve and intestinal fortitude to persevere in the face of uncertainty and failure.
- Conscientiousness: Someone who exhibits the following traits: goal-oriented, efficient, organized, hard-working and reliable.
- Diversity, equity, and inclusion: we recognize and actively value the equality of all people. We are always driving to reflect on, correct, and prevent the many barriers that remain for BIPOC, LGBTQ+, women, differently-abled, and many other groups/individuals.
- Self-Awareness: Without honest and frequent introspection, we cannot improve ourselves.
- Execution: We are biased towards action, rapid learning, reflection and iteration.
- Integrity: Our reputation is everything to us. It takes years to build, but can be destroyed overnight if our moral compass ever wavers.
- People: We treat our team members as we would like to be treated.
- Ownership: We take full responsibility for everything that goes wrong and share the glory when things go as intended.
- Non-conformity: Because "....that's how it's always been done" is not an acceptable answer.
