About Us: The Funding Corporation is jointly owned by the Farm Credit System Banks, as the Farm Credit System's fiscal agent. We are responsible for issuing and marketing debt securities to finance the System's loans, leases and operations. Farm Credit supports rural communities and agriculture with reliable, consistent credit and financial services.
Location: Jersey City, New Jersey / Remote
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Funding Corporation's staff is working a hybrid schedule. All employees will be required to be in the Jersey City, NJ office Tuesday through Thursday, while Monday and Friday will continue to be work from home. This schedule may be subject to change.
Position Summary:
Our Vice President of Investor Relations will serve as the day-to-day interface for fixed income institutional investors and other external constituencies. You will be responsible for developing and executing an IR strategy that assures consistent demand for our debt securities. This is a unique opportunity to interact with multiple stakeholders to provide insight and understanding into the company's mission, financial results, debt issuance and the U.S. agricultural industry.
The Successful Candidate will:
* Execute the strategic, comprehensive and proactive investor relations annual plan
* Develop and execute an investor targeting program to help the company achieve its optimal investor diversification and maximize the effectiveness of management time with IR activities; leveraging this effort to effectively organize investor outreach (roadshows, calls, meeting conferences)
* Direct competitive analysis to ensure that Farm Credit is positioned appropriately among peers in order to highlight our unique strengths and capabilities
* Prepare, implement and deliver presentations for industry and investor conferences, meetings, and events.
* Provide the senior management team with accurate feedback and sentiment related to the investment community and its reaction to the company's business strategies, market developments, and external events
* Write and develop external communication including press releases, website content and other investor collateral
* Ensure consistent corporate messaging and branding in fixed income market and agricultural economy communications to the investor community
* Establish and maintain processes to monitor and measure the effectiveness of the company's investor relations and communications efforts
* Ensure compliance with corporate policies and disclosure guidelines
* Maintain relationships with Wall Street firms for market intelligence and investor outreach support
* Work and manage effectively across the company's organization, promoting effective lateral communication and coordination across groups, both internal and external, to improve efficiency and achieve desired results
The Successful Candidate will have:
* Minimum 10 years of finance, banking or corporate experience. Experience in the fixed income markets and an interest in U.S. agriculture strongly preferred
* College degree required and advanced/graduate degree preferred
* Strong business acumen and judgment, with current knowledge of fixed income markets/products and industry trends, including demonstrated ability to think strategically and address all investor inquiries
* In-depth knowledge of debt capital markets, strategic communications and public relations
* Current knowledge of trends in investor relations best-practices
* Superior interpersonal, verbal, written and technical communication skills with the ability to present and demonstrate success in influencing others
* Demonstrated capability to represent the company in high-visibility settings. Proven ability to develop and maintain an external professional network
