The Senior Director/Director, Investor Relations (IR) will play a pivotal role within the investor relations team by assisting in the planning, development, and implementation of investor outreach programs, messaging and activities. This person will also serve as a resource to senior management to ensure effective communication with investors and other key constituents. The person in this role will manage the development of strategy, operating plans, budget and execution of the investor relations program and work with external IR firm. This position reports to the CFO. This is a remote position.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Individual responsibilities
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
- Collaborate on the development of a targeted investor relations strategy and drive implementation of that strategy to maximize the company's long term value creation and ensure consistency of that strategy in presentations and messaging
- Provide leadership in development of communication programs directed to financial stakeholders.
- Prepare drafts of company press releases, periodic SEC disclosures, investor call scripts and corporate presentations
- Conduct financial analysis of EyePoint and peer companies.
- Schedule investor conferences, non-deal roadshows and analyst/investor meetings
- Maintain relationships and consistent dialogue with buy-side and sell-side community
- Investor targeting for corporate access events and financing transactions
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Primary skills and knowledge required include, but are not limited to the following:
- Comprehensive understanding of the biotech industry, drug development and commercialization
- Demonstrated ability and success in managing external relationships within the financial community and established relationships with industry analysts, institutional investors and media organizations
- Bloomberg, SNL Financial, FactSet or other market data portal experience
- Financial modeling, financial reporting, and analysis skills
- Strong writing and messaging skills, with the ability to translate and simplify complex information for research analysts and investors
- Experience planning and implementing Investor Events, such as roadshows and R&D Days
Required Knowledge And Abilities
- Superior communication and presentation skills
- Must have a "roll-up their sleeves" get things done work style understanding both tactical and strategic work are requirements
- Ability to work independently and prioritize with minimal daily instruction
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and formatting materials
- Team player and self-starter with a constructive attitude
- Ability to address and multitask a wide range of responsibilities.
Level of Education Required:
BA/BS required; MBA preferred but not required
Preferred Field of Study:
Science, Finance or Economics preferred
Number of Years of Experience in the Function and in the Industry:
7-10 years' experience in investor relations, buy-side or sell-side, Biopharma or Life Sciences industry
