SYSTEMS INTERFACE DEVELOPER & SYSTEMS ANALYST
Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas, is seeking to fill two positions with the Administrative Solutions team in the Information Technology department. Both positions require a bachelor’s degree and SQL experience. The Systems Interface Developer:
- Develops and maintains data interfaces between Banner (ERP) and external/internal systems. Includes writing SQL code, testing, automating, and modifications as necessary.
- Develops and maintains documentation and data mapping associated with data interfaces. Includes maintaining report inventory and eliminating duplicate reports.
- Develops Cognos training material.
- Uses Cognos to develop reports and visualizations for the university decision makers.
The Systems Analyst:
- Provides day-to-day operational support of Banner (ERP/SIS) modules including Financial Aid and Student by developing, modifying, and supporting the application software. Test new software and upgrades/releases of existing technologies. Troubleshoot system errors and develop solutions. Develop enhancements to current systems to improve technological efficiency, automation, and the student experience.
- Provide day-to-day operational support of auxillary systems in support of University operations (incl. but not limited to systems such as Degree Planning, Scholarship Management, Housing Parking, ID Systems, etc.). Test new software and upgrades/releases of existing technologies. Troubleshoot system errors and develop solutions. Develop enhancements to current systems to improve technological efficiency, automation, and the student experience.
- Configuring and scheduling necessary jobs and processes.
- Tranining functional users to properly use supported systems.
- Documenting system configuration, interfaces, change controls, and other related operations.
