Accountant
The Accountant is responsible for assisting in the review and reconciliation of financials for company-owned shops as well as monitoring their financial health and stability.
Key Result Areas (KRAs):
Verify coding and rectify discrepancies, as researched, in a timely and accurate manner:

Review AP entries, prior to check runs, to ensure proper coding

Research invoices and expenditures, related to FA additions or improvements, for totals and completion

Using AP review, ensure FA and minor equipment are coded correctly with appropriate memo info (Serial #/descriptions)

Record loan payments
-
Review P&L timely for accurate expenditures posted – research and resolve issues

COGS/inventory reconciliation
Execute accurate and timely end of period accruals and postings:

Review Balance Sheets accounts for proper coding and expensing, reconcile accounts, and research and resolve issues

Record Deferred Revenues related to Gift Cards, Coffee Cash, and Free cards

Record all necessary period end accruals and flips, as necessary, in assigned accounts

Prepare and present quarterly operator packets and reviews
Prepare assigned reports for 1099, PPT, and Unclaimed Property, timely and with accuracy:

1099 preparation and filing
-
Personal Property Tax reporting
-
Unclaimed Property Reporting
-
Special projects, as requested
Job Qualifications:
-
Must have a solid understanding of accounting and general financial principles and best practices

Must have demonstrated stellar verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving skills

Two years of bookkeeping or related experience is preferred

CPA preferred
