Digital Education Coordinator
The Digital Education Coordinator is primarily responsible for program coordination of all digital applications for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP Ed) program area. The Coordinator will assist in the delivery, tracking, and compiling of participant intent surveys of all SNAP Ed digital applications. Will modify and expand types of digital education, pod cast and other applications in cooperation with community partners, New York State Office of Temporary and Disability (OTDA), and as directed by supervisor. An essential component of the position is the ability to coordinate with agencies and DSS district in the regional coverage area to ensure SNAP Ed digital applications are being promoted, utilized and reaching the programs target population.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Education. Associate’s Degree with 2 yrs transferrable program/functional experience may substitute for Bachelor’s Degree.
- Experience relevant to the role of the position.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to plan and organize work responsibilities according to priorities developed with team members and immediate supervisor.
- Experience developing digital/on-line educational resources.
- Ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position.
- Ability to work flexible hours which may include evenings and/or weekends, as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
- Health or nutrition related college level classes.
- Health or Nutrition related job experience.
Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions
Program Delivery - 5%
- Utilize established program resources and materials in providing information and resources to SNAP Education program participants.
- Deliver established SNAP Education digital education via mass media efforts.
- Foster acceptance of program, methods and policies to address community and individual needs and consider diverse audiences.
- Serve as subject matter resource in discipline; provide standard responses. Interact with program participants.
- Assist in providing moderately complex nonstandard responses.
- Assist supervisor in ensuring program delivery is within scope of statewide Plan of Work.
- Serve as a team member and cooperate with the entire Association staff to achieve program delivery goals.
Program Evaluation - 5%
- Implement program evaluation as designed into SNAP Education digital applications.
- Assist supervisor in the interaction with various constituencies to obtain their evaluation of the program.
Administrative Direction - 5%
- Assist supervisor in the planning and delivery of SNAP Education digital applications.
- Provide input into planning SNAP Education digital applications that will be most effective in reaching SNAP eligible populations in the coverage area.
- Assist supervisor in developing communication strategies for the SNAP Education program.
Administrative Management - 10%
- Provide low complexity administrative tasks in guiding the implementation of marketing strategies for the North Country region SNAP Education program.
- Solve problems and resolve conflicts that arise within the program utilizing appropriate policies and procedures and with supervisor guidance as needed.
- Provide low complexity administrative management of established SNAP Education educational program goals.
Administrative Coordination/Operation - 70%
- Provide moderately complex administrative tasks to support the delivery of established educational SNAP Education program goals.
- Assist in identifying approved curriculum that will best serve as digital education content and learning initiatives.
- Assist supervisor in identifying digital learning platform software and hardware that will best fit SNAP Ed digital education initiatives.
- Compile existing SNAP Ed. approved educational materials into digital education applications.
- Collect developed program surveys and evaluations.
- Recruit partners and eligible participants to utilize SNAP Education digital applications.
- Assist in providing training and technical assistance to staff and community members as it pertains to utilizing digital learning platforms.
- Prepare and submit expense reports.
- Prepare digital education application utilization reports.
- Assist in implementing mass media efforts as it relates to SNAP Education digital applications.
- Complete necessary written documentation as required by program and funder.
Professional Improvement - 5%
- In cooperation with Supervisor and/or Executive Director, jointly develop and pursue a professional development plan as a means to increase competencies relative to position accountabilities and to address changes and Association priorities.
- Collaborate in activities that are in general support of Cornell Cooperative Extension and perform other duties as assigned.

- Support the Association to maintain a safe working environment.
- Be familiar with and strive to follow any applicable federal, state, local regulations, Association health and safety policy/procedure/requirement and standard.

Position Details
This position is located in Oriskany, NY. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, 37.5 hrs./week.
