A&D Sales Representative
We are manufacturers' representatives to the architectural and design community, with a focus on furniture, textiles, lighting, acoustics, and area rugs primarily for the contract furnishing markets (Workplace, Hospitality, Multifamily, Healthcare).
We are excited to enter the Northern California market at the request of a number of our manufacturers. We are looking for a high energy and connected sales rep to help build this territory. This person will travel throughout the Bay Area, and Sacramento areas as needed presenting product, delivering samples, updating libraries and meeting with designers. Some overnight and after-hours events are to be expected.
Interior design or relevant industry experience/knowledge required. Eye for design a must.
Must have a vehicle that can accommodate hauling furniture, lighting and marketing materials. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.

- Deliver presentations to architects, designers, purchasing agents/dealers, owner's representatives and end users
- Physical sample delivery as requested (furniture, textiles, lighting, etc.); management of sample inventory
- Provide customers with library updates (textiles, finishes, literature, etc.)
- Maintain updated customer information including contact data, special interests, etc.
- Keep educated on all vendor products, pricing, options, finishes, details, etc.
- Team player, work closely with our internal team on marketing and sales initiatives
- Brand ambassador, personally/for our rep group/and for all of our manufacturers
- Networking through involvement with industry organizations (IIDA/NEWH/NAIOP/CoreNet/Crew) required
- Must love the industry and enjoy all aspects of it, including all of the after-work things/events/hours
- Attend trade shows and host designers and dealers (1-2 per year)
- Occasional travel for team strategy meetings
- Bonus: lighting, acoustics and or sustainability background/knowledge
- Lives somewhere between San Francisco/San Jose/Oakland, for travel ease across the Bay Area (majority of firms are in the SF & SJ areas, but territory extends as far as Reno, San Luis Obispo, and the Northern border)

Skill preferences
- Personality, personality, personality!
- Strong presentation skills
- 3-5 years of design, and/or sales experience
- Flexible to work nights and evenings as needed for events, trade shows, etc.
- Self-motivated, and demonstrated ability to work independently, with great follow up skills.
- Works well both solo and with a team
- Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook required
- Knowledge of CAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Sketch-Up, and a CRM software not required but beneficial.
