Under the supervision of the Registrar, this position serves a dual role of Coordinator of Military Benefits and Registrar Technician duties. This position is responsible for compliance with Veterans Administration (VA) related processes. This position will serve as the primary School Certifying Official and as liaison between CMC and the veterans and military community to develop college wide services. This position will work closely with the regional VA office, interdepartmentally within CMC, and students to ensure accurate and timely communication and reporting. Duties include all aspects of VA school certification, resolving discrepancies between CMC and VA-Once system, supporting college-wide FA staff and account managers with troubleshooting and assisting veteran students. As a member of the Central Services Registrar team this position will also perform duties associated with the Registrar’s Office as assigned. This can include but is not limited to; switchboard coverage, transcript receiving, tuition classification issues, graduation processing, registration tasks, student record maintenance and accuracy. As a Registrar Technician you will provide exceptional customer service while responding to complex questions related to registration, transcripts, verifications, and tuition and fees. This position is responsible for assisting with transferring students, registration, recordkeeping procedures in co-operation with registrar staff and administrative staff at central services and at the campus. View/download job description including hiring salary range: Coordinator of Military Services and Registrar Technician Pre-requisites for Position (Qualifications Standards) Education and experience sufficient for the rigors of the position, such as a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and/or Finance preferred and two years of related experience, or equivalent education and experience. Knowledge of veteran’s tracking, processing and awards. Basic financial aid counseling, troubleshooting and procedures; Ellucian/Datatel/Colleague student information system or like systems and registration modules. Proficient in the use computer application tools such as Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.; strong written, verbal, analytical skills, interpersonal skills. Must be able to multi-task efficiently, track and meet multiple deadlines, function well in a dynamic, close environment. Welcoming. Innovative. Focused on Student Success.
