Seeking Sales & Marketing Director (Northern Michigan/Florida)
A multiple properties resort business is seeking a full-time experienced degreed professional reporting to the CEO who as a member of a small harmonious leadership team directs all sales and marketing activities. This new position based in Harbor Springs, MI works independently developing and successfully managing the company wide strategy for $7 million in sales. Specifically, the role is responsible for the implementation of events planning, reservations, sales and marketing budgets, as well as community relations to both grow sales and profitability.
Qualified candidates will have a bachelors degree in Sales & Marketing with preference given to Hospitality Management, a minimum of 5-7 years proven experience leading multi-unit properties in upper midscale markets, multi-property marketing campaign experience, travel up to 20% between properties, excellent communication and presentation skill sets with a proficiency of up-to-date Sales & Marketing software, search engine optimization (SCO), and maintenance of digital presence on all platforms. A salary of $75,000 plus a sales based percentage performance bonus will be provided to the successful candidate.
Food & Beverage Manager (Northern Michigan)
A multiple properties resort business is seeking a full-time experienced professional to lead and create F&B innovations currently at the Breakers Resort, St. Ignace and the Colonial Inn in Harbor Springs. This hands-on position reports to the CEO and will directly manage hourly employees performing F&B tasks with a beginning salary of $65,000.
Primary responsibilities include: ensuring guests receive a high level of quality food and beverage service, select, train, manage, mentor, and evaluate direct reports, develops an annual budget inclusive of labor and operating expenses to ensure profitability, develops and maintains relationships with key suppliers, and performs as a member of the organizations leadership team. Specifically, this role initially will manage the restaurant, events, and In-room dining at the Breakers Resort as well as revamp the breakfast concept at the Colonial Inn with future planning to implement an evening lounge with fine wines and cocktails paired with hors d'oeuvres.
Qualified candidates must have: 3-5 years F&B Manager experience managing staff and budgets preferably with multiple properties, is a currently certified ServSafe Alcohol and Food Manager, is a strategic innovator and creative collaborative partner with a passion for creating a high level of culinary concepts for maximum guest experience as well as the develops direct reports. This is a highly visible position with guests, employees, and the community requiring excellent communications to work harmoniously with management and employees to ensure operational excellence. Preference will be given for candidates with high-end beverage and fine wine knowledge and merchandising. While normally available 6 days per week during peak summer season with some irregular hours and travel between the two properties the successful candidate will otherwise work a 5 day week in addition to being provided paid vacation.
