The Senior Director of Analytics and Database Management:
- Leads the design, management, development, and implementation of fundraising-based solutions and services that support analytics, business processes, and benchmarking for the Division of Institutional Advancement.
- Provides proactive and data-driven insights using Business Intelligence (BI) solutions that help inform Institutional Advancement leadership team decisions. Creates, maintains, and distributes statistical and analytical reports on all fundraising and constituent management activities. Will be required to convert complex data findings into data visualizations.
- Introduces industry best practices, comprehends system capabilities and aligns with the strategic vision and the priorities of the Division. Conducts campaign performance analysis; develops strategic recommendations to improve accuracy and completeness of the data collection to support the fundraising campaign.
- Maintains system integrity and compliance with data entry standards. In partnership with the executive director, executes the development of policies and procedures, and security and authorization procedures. Moreover, creates and maintains a comprehensive program for continuous improvement to facilitate the strategic use of College resources, including student records, faculty & staff records, and parents' records, using data warehouse technology, social media, web, and email communications with internal and external tracking and data collection systems. The Senior Director ensures compliance with college policy, aligning with industry best practices, and participating in change management initiatives to integrate best practices into current business processes.
- Proactively engages with Prospect management and Research to ensure that the fundraising analytics facilitates a strategic, integrated program of prospect identification, research, and donor management supporting the Alumni engagement and fundraising goals.
Requirements:
Master's degree and two to three years relevant program experience, or bachelor's degree and five years relevant program experience. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
Background in constituent relationship management systems or related field and five years of experience in a Business Intelligence Development role with at least two years in a Higher Education Advancement environment, working with one of the leading Constituent Relationship Management systems (Blackbaud CRM, Raiser's Edge, Salesforce, Ellucian Advance) and with experience gathering requirements for fundraising analytics and delivering solutions on leading BI and Analytics platforms (Tableau, MS Power BI, Qlik). Good understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL development, and systems integrations.
Experience with constituent segmentation and predictive analytics related to donor acquisition, cultivation, and retention.
Knowledge of database management systems, concepts and design methodologies. Experience managing relational database structures, administering security, and developing standards and protocols. Must be able to communicate effectively and be able to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Ability to prepare and present technical information to a non-technical audience in a clear and concise manner is key. Experience in Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge and Tableau or Microsoft Power Bl is essential. Supporting knowledge of Blackbaud's Financial Edge and NXT software is strongly preferred.
Occasional travel for professional development as well as occasional after hours work. Remote work will be considered for the right candidate.
