Job Purpose
Plans, develops and directs comprehensive national and international marketing, communication and recruitment programs and initiatives that address the needs and meet the strategic goals of the Graduate School. Oversees the implementation of the programs from concept development through final execution and ensures that they reflect and enhance the overall marketing messages and goals of the Graduate School and its 32 graduate programs.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of progressively relevant professional experience related to the development, production and dissemination of digital (email, social media, and web) and print campaigns. Significant editorial, copywriting and production experience in print and electronic publications, as well as knowledge of all phases of the creative process. One year experience working directly in client services. Demonstrates success in diverse recruitment. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of marketing techniques and strategies, and ability to develop, manage and execute current marketing campaign technologies and strategies from concept to completion.
Knowledge and experience using latest media to achieve marketing and communications goals, and an expert understanding of digital marketing and social media analytics. Ability to apply market research to the development of comprehensive and complex mixed media marketing initiatives. Demonstrated ability to create marketing plans, develop content for a variety of digital platforms, and manage multiple marketing-related tasks from creative concepts through production and the analysis of outcomes. Ability to work closely with graduate faculty and staff in planning, creating, and executing recruitment and orientation programs and materials. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to identify and implement innovative recruitment programs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite and experience using marketing automation tools such as Pardot and HubSpot.
Knowledge of and experience with CMS and CRM a plus. Ability to oversee graduate assistant dedicated to recruitment and marketing.

Additional Comments Regarding Position:
Travel for recruitment is required. Some evening and weekend work is required. Must be able to lift and carry promotional materials for presentations. Must be sensitive to the values and procedures of an academic institution.

Position operates on a year-by-year contract that can be
renewed after one year of employment.

Activity:
Responsible for the execution of complex and comprehensive short– and long–term strategic marketing and advertising campaigns and programs that have a measurable impact on the Graduate School’s efforts to recruit students to all degree and certificate programs. Confers with the Dean of the Graduate School, program directors and University Marketing team regarding effective creative strategies to efficiently recruit students to various programs offered by the Graduate School. Leads, manages and directs all elements of campaigns, from creative concepts through production to final execution that help the Graduate School meet enrollment and student-satisfaction goals and objectives. Uses analytic tools to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment, communications, and marketing plans and works closely with the Office of University Marketing and Communications to revise and update strategies and materials, and monitor budgets accordingly.

Develops and manages the implementation of comprehensive and complex, mixed-media marketing concepts based on highly targeted research. In collaboration with University Marketing and Communications, coordinates and manages digital marketing campaigns, and content marketing strategies. Responsible for social media, digital advertising, email campaigns, website maintenance, CRM maintenance and development and project management. Directs the assessment of marketing strategies and print and electronic communications to ensure projects are meeting the marketing goals of the Graduate School and of individual programs.

Directs, plans, and implements recruiting trips and materials, representing the College at Graduate School fairs and informational programs at targeted undergraduate institutions and employment locations. Coordinates activities of program directors and graduate assistants who are involved in the recruiting process. Plans and implements all Graduate School diversity recruitment efforts. Meets regularly with graduate program directors to assess best markets, venues and strategies for recruitment for individual programs. Corresponds with prospective students and researches profiles of current prospects and applicants, sharing this information with program directors and using it to access recruitment materials.

Supervises, trains, and evaluates graduate assistants holding positions dedicated to recruitment. Directs all activities and events for the Graduate School including graduate student orientation and graduate education week. Manages the development of orientation materials and packets and overseeing graduate assistants assigned to orientation and event duties.
