Youth Employment Program Coordinator, Mayor’s Spring Teens Job Program - $25/hour – Screening 1/28/22 - Open until filled.
40 hours/week through June 30, 2022 – No City Benefits. This position may be subject to state or federal standards requiring COVID vaccination or testing.
To provide low-income 14- & 15-year-old public-school students with employment opportunities during spring semester. Under general supervision, the incumbent will develop and coordinate the Mayor’s Spring Teens Job Program.
Job tasks will include: Developing job placements with non-profit, and government agencies; Recruiting students; Identifying worksite supervisors/mentors; Managing and monitoring program activities; Managing and monitoring program budget and activities; Preparing program reports.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and one to three years of progressively responsible related experience required. A valid Driver’s License or the ability to meet the transportation requirements of the job required. Experience with targeted population preferred. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job, is considered.
