Community Development Officer (Zoning/Code Officer)
The City of Lower Burrell, a Third-Class City in Western Pennsylvania, is seeking a qualified Community Development Officer (Zoning/Code Officer). Responsibilities include planning process administration, zoning ordinance administration/enforcement, code enforcement, coordination efforts with the planning commission and zoning hearing board, managing projects, preparing and administering grants, etc.
Qualifications include a BA/BS in Environmental Science, Public Administration, Planning, or a related field. Knowledge of municipal planning principles, laws, and procedures, a thorough understanding of the Pennsylvania MPC, and the ability to work with the GIS system are plus. Three to five years experience in municipal and local government is preferred.
