City Manager - Eufaula, Oklahoma
The City of Eufaula, Oklahoma, is now accepting applications for the position of City Manager. Eufaula is the county seat of McIntosh County, and has a population of approximately 2,800. Eufaula is also home to Lake Eufaula, the largest-capacity lake in Oklahoma, with a surface area of 102,000 acres and 600 miles of shoreline.
The selected candidate will serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the City and will be responsible for directing the implementation of policies and programs adopted by City Council, resolving citizen concerns, representing the City within the community, region and state as required and will prepare the annual budget for consideration by the City Council. The City Manager's office is also responsible for communication, and coordination of major developments within the community.
Salary: Salary range for the position ranges from 70,000-105,000 and will be dependent upon qualifications. The City offers a competitive benefits package.
Experience: Candidates should have a preferred five years' experience in a senior management position in a municipal government organization or other related public service organization. Prior experience as a City Manager is strongly preferred. The preferred candidate must have experience in the following areas: budget preparation, planning and development, grant writing, employee supervision, capital improvement construction projects, economic development, labor and contract negotiations and tourism.
Education: Candidates should possess a degree in public administration, business administration, finance or other municipal-related field. A Master degree in Public Administration is preferred.

City Manager must be available to work on weekends and evenings, willing to work 50+ hours per week, must be able to sit and conduct standard office tasks for 8+ hours per day, must have constant accessibility to manage urgent events (Someone who will take a phone call and come into work on weekends, holidays, and during sleeping hours should the need arise). Must live or be willing to relocate to Eufaula, pursuant to statutory boundaries.
