Information Technology Manager City of Bowling Green (Pay Band 6: $85,000-$97,000) Salaried, exempt full-time position responsible to establish, direct, and coordinate the overall strategic goals, policies, and procedures with respect to the City's information technology including, but not limited to the communication infrastructure, computer systems, telephony systems and security. Manages and supervises assigned staff; plans and organizes workloads and staff assignments; trains, motivates, and evaluates assigned staff; reviews and standardizes work procedures; provides administrative direction and support for daily activities including operations and technical support. Administers and oversees information technology for the City including Windows operating systems, email administration, network management, telephony systems, cyber and building security administration, and website administration; responsible for patch management, backup functions, and similar tasks associated with information technology. Directs the preparation of specifications and requests for proposal for technology related services and products; manages ongoing support for the current applications portfolio. Provides input and recommendations for all City information technology annual budgets; participates in the forecasting of additional funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies related to technological requirements; manages and oversees the Information Technology Division annual budget. Researches and investigates new data processing solutions upon request. Coordinates computer related training as requested; maintains computer training center computers. Directs the development of performance measures; monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures to produce cost effective projects. Establishes and builds relationships with consultants and vendors. Assists users and manages staff in the same to ensure end-user support is met.

Experience/Educational Requirements: Four-year college degree; minimum of six years of relevant experience; valid Ohio Driver's License; or any combination of education, training and work experience which provides the required skill sets to perform the essential functions of the job.
