Development and Communications Director
The Development & Communications Director reports directly to and partners with the Executive Director. They create our multi-year fund development plan with support from our Development Committee. This person will manage a team of two people and raise an annual revenue of around $1 million. They will cultivate new donors through a lens of our DEI vision and expand CFNC's overall fundraising efforts (from grants to individuals to new revenue strategies). This person will also sit on our senior team at CFNC.

Core responsibilities
- Create a development plan annually
- Manage the development coordinator
- Manage the grants contractor
- Co-chair our communications committee
- Work in partnership with the ED on Communications strategy
- Develop growth strategies and plans annually
- Manage the board development committee
- Manage the board communications committee
- Sit on the senior team at CFNC
- Create new ways of fundraising with a focus on DEI
- Secure financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations
- Manage the implementation of Every Action and oversee staff responsible for data entry and gift processing
- Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors
- Create and execute a strategy for a large sustained base of annual individual donors
- Overseeing organization of special events
- Develop and track proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising
- Oversee all stewardship, data entry, and gift management (and know how to do this if the development coordinator is not at the office)
