RN or LPN - Part-Time & PRN positions.

Are you looking for a new challenging opportunity in the nursing field? We have an opportunity for a RN or LPN on a part-time & PRN positions. The right person will provide nursing services in the Detox Unit of CARE, one of Florida's leading substance abuse agencies. You will direct the operations of the unit in absence of supervisor. Licensed + 1-year experience preferably in substance abuse treatment. Competitive Salary DOE.

REGISTERED NURSE - 

SUMMARY: Provides prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to the clients of the Primary Care (DETOX) unit by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Supervises and coordinates nursing activities in Detox unit.
  2. Provides direct service and/or indirect client CARE oriented toward improving or maintaining health and preventing illness Performs assigned nursing duties.
  3. Performs physical assessments of clients, refers clients required for further evaluations to other health care facility.
  4. Completes Admission and Discharge Documentation Progress Notes, Nurses Notes, ASAM, etc.
  5. Completes IMS/Kardex with required signatures.
  6. Administers and charts prescribed medications, observing and reporting any reactions.
  7. Accurately completed daily timesheets.
  8. Average Supervision Required and Request supervision when needed.
  9. Develop, review and revise treatment plan and progress note using assessment documentation and according to CARE’s policies and procedures.
  10. Completes required training in a timely manner.
  11. Properly document and justify diagnostic codes based on the criteria outlined in the Diagnostic Statistical Manual.
  12. Provides referrals and coordinates case management services as required.
  13. Collect samples, urine, from patients for testing.
  14. Completes other duties as necessary and as assigned by the Director of Nursing or the Deputy Director of Nursing.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises Medical Service Aides while on duty.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Florida board of Nursing. One year of full-time professional experience is required. CPR certification required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Florida board of Nursing. CPR certification.
