The Canton Rescue Squad is a nonprofit corporation providing 911 emergency medical responses and interfacility medical transports in St. Lawrence County, New York. The Rescue Squad responds to 2,500 calls annually in a county wide service area of 2,800 square miles with a population of 112,000. We have 50 full and part time employees and operate 8 ambulances out of two facilities in Canton, NY.
The Director of Operations is the Chief Operating Officer of the corporation and reports to the President. The Director is responsible for all day-to-day operations including recommending hiring, disciplinary actions, and termination of staff; training and supervision of staff; ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and patient care protocols; budgeting; and purchasing equipment and supplies.
Applicants must have two years of supervisory experience in managing a similar size business or nonprofit, including experience in scheduling and managing employees. Three or more years of experience is preferred.
High School diploma or GED is required college degree preferred.
