Manager
The Manager, Case Oversight and Investigations will be responsible for implementing and managing Buckeye's health and safety management systems and strategy, and the Electronic Incident Management System and Database to maintain operational compliance with applicable regulations and Buckeye's commitment to become "Best in Class". Responsibilities include implementing health and safety management systems, strategies and program improvements, monitoring health and safety compliance, and ensuring consistent implementation of health and safety policies companywide.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Lead the Buckeye Incident investigation program and systems. Direct improvement initiatives, challenge weaknesses in the system. Teach and mentor Buckeye personnel in improvement efforts.
- Manage the oversight of occupational case activities, protocols and support and incident investigation auditing and improvement strategies.
- Lead the OSHA recordability management process and manage the OSHA recordkeeping program.Develop strategys and KPI's to drive performance improvments for incident investigations. Support development and continuous improvement for case management and incident investigations.
- Manage the safety analytics team, Incident electronic database and initiatives
- Lead the development and implementation of health and safety management systems for case management and incident investigations. Support Enterprise wide SOM's implementation
- Manage companywide incident investigation auditing and improvement support for all affected stakeholders.
- Direct incident investigatin activities and reviews to improve field performance. Serve as the Incident investigation SME for corporate and operational/project offices.
- Lead and conduct program and procedure audits to ensure compliance with internal process and regulatory requirements for OSHA recordkeeping, case management and incident investigations.
- Develop, deliver and/or facilitate Incident investigation training processes for the enterprise with regular sessions and ongoing content additions. Support consistent implementation of investigation training and internal case management processes.
- Lead formal Investigations for major incidents using approved investigation methods and process (TapRoot, Apollo, 5-Why, etc.) techniques. Coordinate creation and distribution of safety alerts and lessons learned with local HS&S Specialists.
- Mentor and develop HSSE personnel to deepen functional bench strength in performance and talent management issues.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years' experience in Health and Safety related role.
- Position requires up to 35% travel.
- Experience managing occupational injury cases and incident investigations
- Field experience in pipeline, terminaling, marine terminaling and refining industry is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, SharePoint etc.) required.
Position Location:
- Position will be located in Houston, Texas or Breinigsville, Pennsylvania
